🔄 Renewal Process for Labour Contract License
(Under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 – CLRA Act)
A labour license issued to contractors is typically valid for 1 year and must be renewed before expiration to continue employing contract labour legally.
📌 WHEN TO RENEW
Apply for renewal at least 30 days before the expiry of the existing license.
Late applications may attract penalties or rejection.

Existing Labour License (Copy)
Form VII – Application for license renewal
Updated Form V – Certificate from the Principal Employer (if work continues)
Proof of Fee & Security Deposit Payment
Challan or Treasury Receipt
List of Contract Workers with wages and duties
PF & ESIC Payment Proofs (last 12 months)
Renewed Work Order/Contract Agreement
Updated Compliance Reports, if requested

Go to https://lms.mahaonline.gov.in
Log in with your contractor credentials
Go to “License Renewal” section under CLRA
Fill Form VII online
Upload required documents (PDF format)
Pay:
License renewal fee (same as initial license fee)
Security deposit (₹500 per worker, if number changes)
Submit and download acknowledgement
License will be renewed after departmental verification
🧾 FEE STRUCTURE (Same as New License)

Up to 20 ₹250 20 × ₹500 = ₹10,000
21–50 ₹500 50 × ₹500 = ₹25,000
51–100 ₹1,000 100 × ₹500 = ₹50,000
101+ ₹2,000+ ₹500 per worker
Note: If no change in worker strength, earlier deposit may be carried over.
🛑 CONSEQUENCES OF NOT RENEWING
License lapses automatically
Continuation of contract work becomes illegal
May result in:

Prosecution under labour laws
