Here's a complete guide to the EPF (Employees' Provident Fund) registration process for both employers and employees in India:

✅ EPF Registration Process – For Employers
Employers must register their establishment with the EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation) if they employ 20 or more employees (or voluntarily with fewer employees).

📌 Steps for EPF Registration (Employer):
Visit the EPFO Employer Portal
👉 https://registration.shramsuvidha.gov.in

Create an Account / Login
If you're new, click on “Sign Up”

Provide name, mobile number, and email

Set username and password

Register Your Establishment
After login, click “Registration for EPFO & ESIC”

Select EPFO and start filling the online form

Fill in Establishment Details
Establishment name and address

PAN of company

Nature of business

Number of employees

Date of setup

Provide Employer Details
Name and designation of owner/director

Contact info

Identity and address proof

Upload Required Documents
PAN card of business

Address proof of office

Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

Bank account details

License (if applicable)

Digital Signature Authentication
Use Class 2 or Class 3 DSC to verify the registration

Submit the Application
On successful verification, you'll receive:

Establishment ID (EPF Code)

✅ EPF Registration Process – For Employees
Employees don't register directly but need to activate their UAN (Universal Account Number), which is assigned by the employer.

Visit UAN Member Portal

Click on "Activate UAN"
Provide:

UAN or Member ID

Aadhaar or PAN

Name and Date of Birth

Mobile number linked to Aadhaar

Get OTP and Validate
Enter OTP sent to your mobile

Set password to activate UAN

Login to UAN Portal
Use your UAN and password to access your PF account

View passbook, update KYC, check balance, or raise claims
